Adelaide Trail Runners are very excited to bring you the 2025 Melrose Running Festival held at the Mt Remarkable National Park in Melrose, South Australia on Saturday May 24th, 2025.

Mt. Remarkable National Park is located just over 3 hours drive north of Adelaide. This location really lives up to it's name - it's REMARKABLE!

First staged in 2017, the event now offers 3 distances to cater for runners of all abilities. All 50km, 30km & 15km finishers will be presented with a medal upon crossing the finish line.

50km QUALIFYING CRITERIA

Mt. Remarkable National Park is a very tough and challenging course, even for the most experienced of trail runners. For 2025 we will again have a qualifying criteria to ensure all 50km runners have the experience to handle such a course. This is not about speed and is not about trying to eliminate slower runners. We are purely trying to identify runners with the necessary experience to handle such challenging conditions. Once you have entered the 50km Ultra, please send us an email with evidence and history of your qualifying run as outlined here.

CLICK HERE for examples of qualifying races. If you enter and do not complete a qualifying run, you will be entitled to a full refund, less a $20 admin fee or you can drop back to the 30km run. Please note, no refund will be provided in this instance.  â€‹April 30th is when all qualifying races/runs must be completed by.

Please email info@adelaidetrailrunners.com.au with your qualifying races0

MANDATORY GEAR

Mandatory gear requirements are put in place for the safety of all runners. With the unpredictable weather that is common in the Southern Flinders, we have developed a "Good Weather" and "Bad Weather" option. This will show you all of the gear you may potentially need to carry. We will make a final decision on mandatory gear in the days leading up to the event. Please remember that even a "good weather" day will still likely mean starting your races in 0 degrees temperature. Please CLICK HERE for the Mandatory Gear lists
